Two Three Course Dinners
Through www.hospitalityclub.org we got to know a lot of interesting people already. Last week, we were lucky enough to host Roman and Claudia on their very days of their big trip around the world. We asked them to cook us a typical Swiss meal, and they showed us what love for good food means. They surprised us with a salad with nut filled dates wrapped in parma ham, a cheesy pasta with potatoes and a combination of strawberries and peanuts. Delicious! We wish we had guests like them every week. Danke, viel Spass und auf Wiedersehen!
The next day we were the lucky ones behind the cooking pots. Earlier on, James and Michele, a colleague of Triin, had invited us for dinner in their spacious house. Now our moment had come to invite them back. We started with a Belgian seafood cocktail (without grey shrimps alas), continued with ostrich steak in a juicy orange sauce, served with spinach mash and beans wrapped in ham, and finished with ice cream and a fruit cocktail. The seafood cocktail lacked some taste, and the ostrich meat was not so tender, but we enjoyed the cooking, the bottles of wine, and the talks at the table. Another great weekend had started.
