Stellenbosch at a glance

First sweet-chilli-warm Saturday took us to Stellenbosch - the 2nd oldest white town in South Africa. We went for a small walk. Streets were rimmed with handsome Cape Dutch architecture masterpieces, bookshops and air-conditioned cafes. The old university town was busy. The air was full of smell of roses and various summer blooms and the smell of something else, something big...something important. Cars on the roads were hooting, carrying South African flags. Furthermore, people on the streets were following the newest fashion trend - combination of green and yellow. That was the smell of suspense win and unrestricted celebration.
